Why we built Pomello as a layer, not a replacement

Pomello started inside a real short-term-rental operation. The property management system handled bookings well — but the day-to-day work around those bookings lived in spreadsheets, group chats, and browser tabs.

Switching PMS platforms is expensive and risky, and most hosts do not want to. So we did not build another PMS. We built the operations layer that sits on top of the one you already run: guest communication, revenue insight, and a calendar your whole team trusts.

That is the whole idea — keep what works, add what is missing.
